Hello, lovelies!! It's rare for me to update my blog when it is not during event season, but here I am to make an announcement!! If you are a subscriber of my Youtube channel coincidentally, then please do read on!! :)

Anyway, so I guess alot of le fellow fangirls of "DRAMAtical Murder" are hyped over the release of the anime adaptation over the week. I certainly am!! 

...though the only thing is that I have never played the game before this. OTL

But I do keep up with the story of the game by reading walkthroughs and watching gameplays online. I also have some of my friends telling me their views and experiences of the game so I kind of understand the game's main plot, characters, the feels and what not.

What really made me got stuck onto the fandom real tight is the SOUNDTRACK. The entire soundtrack of both "DRAMAtical Murder" and "DRAMAtical Murder re:connect" is just -- awesome! I don't exactly know how to describe it. The background tracks have a hint of futuristic and makes me addicted to listening them a lot, and the ending credit songs as well as opening songs are really just awesome! I can listen to the entire soundtrack list for both series over and over again. 

I really hope I can find a way to install the game onto my laptop soon so that I can play it and feel the feels personally. All my friends have been describing about them feels all the time, and I really do want to experience the feels wwwww

Alright, so here's the special announcement!

To commemorate the release of the anime adaptation of the game, I will be doing covers on a set of chosen songs from both the games' soundtrack list! 

Specifically, I've chosen four songs to cover:

- "Crystalline" by Itou Kanako

- "Milky Way" by VERTUEUX

- "Tears" by Itou Kanako

- "Immer Sie" by Itou Kanako (re-cover)

Each of these chosen songs have a certain amount of feels that made me want to sing them very badly. Ah, and I do know previously I did posted a song cover on "Immer Sie", but I took it down again after a few days because I realized how the audio is a bit too crappy orz.

All song covers will be of separate videos and I will upload them one by one some time within this month. I will try my best to finish them up as soon as I can (I still need to memorize the lyrics properly first orz), so please look forward to it!!

24 June 2014: AniManGaki Idol 2014 audition

 It's been a while, hasn't it? :) 

and it seems to me that I only update my blog whenever there's an event, but really...other than giving a report (or more like, opinion) on events that I've attended...I barely have anything to update on ;w; (because it's lame to just read about my everyday life orz I knowww)

This post is going to be partially event-related and also an achievement I've made over the previous weekend!

(I am a delusional person. Forgive me ;w;)

So, last Saturday (21 June), the committee of AniManGaki held the auditions of the annual AniManGaki Idol at their campus. AniManGaki Idol is one of the biggest platform for singing enthusiasts in the ACG community, and most of the winners of this competition become invited performers for events *w* my friend, Leena, who is the leader of the well-known Harmonia ACG, was a former winner of the competition as well (and it was also how Harmonia ACG started~ XD)

I joined the audition for last year's competition, but due to my nervousness and lack of stage presence and confidence, I was placed in the waiting list by the judges, and eventually eliminated. Of course I was sad and all, but I decided to join again this year for the heck of it to test my luck. 

The announcement for the audition came up about two weeks ago, if I'm not mistaken? And the moment I saw the announcement, I was like "HELL YEA TIME TO DO THIS". BUT as the date for the audition drew closer, I started to panic and chicken out ;w;

I chose the song "Ambiguous" by GARNiDELiA because I wanted to challenge myself with the vocal range in the song. I was a bit worried before the audition date because I realized that I couldn't hit the high notes when I was practicing, so I decided that "JUST YOLO WITH IT".

The audition was scheduled to start at 10.30a.m on that day, so I rushed like hell to the venue (Sunway University) by public transport. I live at the other end of the LRT line, so I really had to rush like there's no tomorrow @@ luckily I managed to arrive in time before the audition begin and I was able to watch the other auditionees before me perform. 

To be quite honest, a lot of the participants were really good this year! The competition was tough and I started to panic when I get to see so many other better singers than myself ;w;

My turn came at about...four hours later? (First come first serve basis lol) and I just went up the stage and YOLO.

Although I'll have to say my YOLO session was very much worth it, because...

I DIRECTLY ADVANCED INTO THE TOP 12!!!!!!
YESSSS!!!!
FINALLY!!!!!!
NOT EVEN ON THE WAITING LIST!!!!!!

Being all nervous and paranoid kinda paid off because it forced me to practice and give me confidence to perform the song with all my might. I love my paranoid side sometimes. Working under pressure makes me really productive (DOES NOT RELATE)

And here I present to you the video of my performance :)

The judges, Bin Yun and Leena, gave me really positive feedback on my performance! They said that I had really good stage presence and crowd interaction. I also had better control of my vocals compared to last year and I also had more confidence. The only thing I needed to do to amp up my performance was to add subtle nuances as I sing to make it sound substance-ful instead of just trying to reach the note for the sake of reaching it.

I was really happy when they gave me the green light to advance to the top 12! But that means I will be going against a number of much more experienced singers, all the senpais who are far better than I am ;w; 

Regardless, I shall do my best!!

The top 12 preliminaries will be held on the first day of AniManGaki 2014, which is on the 09 August 2014 at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Center. Not sure about the time yet, but when you hear people singing on stage...then yea, that's when the competition starts xD

I still haven't decided on which song I should choose for the preliminaries and for the finals IF I get through. I'm also partially nervous about the line up of the judges. I can only imagine myself freaking out if the judges are international judges. I'll cry on stage if it is. ;w;

I won't be cosplaying this time around due to restriction in terms of time and freedom to roam around, so I'll let you guys know about my attire for both days so that you can try to spot me :)

So, just a quick update, guys!! :3

I've updated the music playlist of my blog as recently I've discovered this one Youtube Japanese music artist, CARAMEROUGE through one of VenusAngelic's tutorial video. After listening to her other songs, I fell in love with them immediately. :D

Techno songs aren't usually my fave kind of genre (in a way, sort of...I don't really like those heavy techno kind of songs), but since her songs kinda reminds me of Vocaloid songs, I can't help but to keep listening to her songs. :D

Her songs are more of the...uhh...soft kind of techno? (not so sure about techno songs terms, so...I'll just use words that I know which I think pretty much explains the way I think of her songs...if you do understand about how I'm trying to describe her songs 8D;;;) 

Not very heavy kind (sort of) which was why I love her songs. :3

I do recommend you to check her out if you are a fan of Vocaloid songs because her songs are somewhere along those lines. It's very pleasing to listen to, actually!! XD

It is actually the week of my final exams right now, but I decided to take some time off because I really really wanted to record the cover for this song.

This song is called "Miracles May", originally sung by Kanoko Ito for the BL game by Nitro+Chiral, "Sweet Pool". The lyrics of the song touches my heart whenever I listen to it, and for some reason, I can't help but crying whenever I listen to it :___;

I had a strong urge to sing this song so badly right after I found the violin version of the song (in which I've used it to cover this song), and I've always wanted to sing this song since I first listened to it, like, 3 years back. Now that I've got the chance, I've got no regrets! :)

Just so you know, I'm currently having a bad case of sore throat and runny nose. ;___; and I sang this song while having all these illness. Guess I overworked myself on studies. OTL

Another reason why I've thought of making a song cover for this is because I'm attempting to launch the "Sweet Pool" game I've downloaded months ago. Until today, I have no clue how to launch it. ;__; I've seek help from a lot of my friends, but none of their advise helped me much. If you have any suggestions or ideas, please do comment below!! Sorry for the long-time-no-update on my blog, have always been extremely busy for the past months to the point that I really couldn't find any time to sit down in front of my PC to update my blog. Most of my updates were done mainly by using my phone, so I apologize for those who couldn't able to keep up with my life if you don't have my twitter of facebook account. TT_____TT

Anyhows.......

I'm going to do a few short updates on what are my faves nowadays (though my ultimate fave is to try on makeups nowadays, but I can't possibly find a time to do so, so I'll just keep it to a minimum~ ;w;)

I've been hooked to a really  awesome song by Katy Perry, a song meant for her ex-husband to show that she's not going to break in the wake of their divorce.

The lyrics to this song really means a lot to those who are going through a lot of hard time in their lives, and also to me. And this is from me, dedicated to EVERYTHING and EVERYONE in my life who are the parts of me that strangers aren't able to take away from me. :)

Here I am, at night, blogging again. I have no life, I know orz

But I'm trying my very best to blog as frequent as I can to keep everyone updated with my life (as to those who actually keep up on what I do everyday, I thank you very much~ ;w; <3)

I'm not much of a Twilight novel fan, but I do watch the movie~ :D (I skipped "Eclipse" though.... TTwTT)

and with the new upcoming Saga, Breaking Dawn part one, releasing VERY soon, all Twilight Saga fans are now in the Twilight frenzy mood, which includes yours truly~ ;)

And of course, yours truly is also on the hunt for new nice songs from the Breaking Dawn saga soundtrack, and here I found, AT LAST, an epicly beautiful song, epicly suitable for Breaking Dawn.

The beginning of the song was a bit rough, but after that, the vocals of the coverers just harmonized and became one and epic beautiful~ ;w; <3

hehe, as for today, I won't be discussing on any trending topics lately, but instead, I'm gonna share with you a really awesome original score from an original Disney movie, "Tangled", the remake (and a better version, in my opinion~ XD) of "Rapunzel~ :D

it has been a personal favourite of mine ever since I first watched "Tangled" (sorry to say this, but I only watched it for the very first time just two weeks ago after purchasing the DVD~ TwT)

ahh, anyways, if you want to know more about "Tangled", uhm...

GO GOOGLE IT!! XD

okay, so here's the vid of the original score~ :D

the title of the score is "Kingdom Dance" which was composed by legendary composer Alan Menken, the guy who is responsible for all the awesome masterpieces of original scores for some of the epic Disney animations such as "The Little Mermaid", "Hercules" and so much more~ XD

I especially love this score because it's so lively and encouraging~ and of course, at the part where the song begins to pick up its pace (at about 1:15 into the video), it makes me wanna stand up and dance~ XD not just riverdance, but also some contemporary mixed into the Victorian-ish kind of dance~ XD

and you know what? XD

I feel like downloading this song and using it for a performance (yeesh, cosplay performance~ XD) well, it's not really a 100% confirmed plan yet, but, haha~ I just friggin love this score~ <3

I hope there was an extended version of the score~ TT^TT

As you know, yesterday, I blogged a post about a song that Yoko Kanno wrote and composed for the victims of the quake and tsunami in Japan.

And for today, I'm going to post up a song that our very own Shiomaru @ Shio Yee wrote for the victims in Japan.
